Kind staff, good atmosphere, the place is also a meeting point of nice local people, sports on screen and in place, delicious dinner

Noisy funnel next to kitchen only 2 feet from room

I'm afraid I paid over the odds for this stay. There was a nice welcome from the owner on arrival but the bedroom, directly over the pub kitchen, although spacious had a huge extractor unit outside the bedroom window which was switched on before breakfast 8.00/7.45a.m. and boomed away until 9 p.m. (I could not face going back to my room for part of the afternoon for a rest as the noise made it impossible). The breakfast was ok but served on a very sticky table with less than clean tumblers for fruit juice! Could have done with a proper cafitiere in stead of (cheap) coffee served in a small teapot! Yoghurts, again, very cheap and less than cheerful brands. I shall not be using Booking.com in future as this stay was VASTLY overpriced for what it was advertised as. Will be writing to the owners.
