"Lovely stay, just wish our meal had been better"

Great little hotel with lovely staff, disappointed in the evening meal, the chips were inedible on our fish and chips, staff brought out more which were no better, the breakfasts were lovely though

"Great hotel"

Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, in keeping with the historical feeling of the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Dinner was good. Don't miss the chocolate ice cream! Breakfast also good. Don't miss the freshly cooked and perfectly done scrambled egg! The hotel is located in a historical village which is well worth exploring, along with the surrounding countryside.

"Lovely spot for a peaceful break - staff super-efficient and friendly."

Staff were fabulous. Location was perfect for a sunny bank holiday. Lovely atmosphere in the pub and outside.

Sunday dinner was rather disappointing - didn't live up to the other standards.
