"Beautiful room in lovely old pub"

9.0

Beautiful old pub in a lovely location. Rooms were comfortable and cosy. Stunning standalone bath came with the room. Great walks with the dog close by. Would definitely return.

The noise levels were a bit of a shock. Our room was directly above the bar and we could hear conversations like we were sat at the same table! Once the pub closed it was really quiet and we were able to sleep without problem. There are no TVs in the rooms so you really need to spend the evening in the bar as our room was not quiet enough to relax and read before sleep.

"I had a nice stay, and to be surrounded by all the history was amazing, but I feel that some elements of the room are mo"

7.0

The building is 16th century, with bare, wooden, walls and floorboards, steep, worn, slanted, staircases, and lots of charm, and it was nice feeling like i was stepping back in time. I loved the decor of the room,(Josephine) and it was in keeping with the age of the building. The staff were amazing, and very helpful.

The room wasn’t as clean as it could have been, with cob webs, and dirty windows. There was no real wardrobe, just a hanging rail in the boiler cupboard, The very deep bath, had a hand held shower attachment, but there was no shower curtain, and the bath sat on bare floorboards, so I had to get low down in the bath to stop the water from going over the edge onto the floor. There wasn’t a television, which I wasn’t too bothered about as I only stayed for 2 nights, but It may have been a problem if I had stayed for longer. I paid £190. a night for the room, so expected to be able to wash myself without having to curl into a small ball to do so.

"We loved it!"

9.0

The location is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very unique and well equipped with very nice touches. The bed is also very comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely be back!

We stayed on a hot summer day, and although there was a fan provided, it was very hot in our room.
