Bellbird Hotel

The staff were fantastic. The food was great and the shared bathrooms were modern and tidy.

The room had dead moths that were revealed when the bed was split (not a deal breaker for us). Also the night we stayed there was a halloween part that went from 9 till midnight. The sound proofing was "ok" but it would keep children and light sleepers up. If you have trouble sleeping with noise check before you stay if they are having a noteworthy event and plab accordingly. Again this would only be an issue for large events. The day we stayed there was a 30th birthday and lots of patrons and you couldn't hear them when in our room which was way better than some pubs ive stayed at. The cons dont outweigh the pros and I would 120% stay again

Had dinner in the bistro. Very good. Generous portions and friendly service. It is a pub stay with shared toilet/shower facilities, but those facilities were very clean and modern. I loved the old-world style and old photographs of the hotel as it was back in the 1800's. Great vibe.

Nothing really, for the money you paid it was charming.

We needed a place to stay as we had to be in Cessnock at 7am the next morning and this was perfect. $90 for each person to have their own room was fantastic. The room had all i needed for that over night stay. The bed was very comfortable and enough outlets for things to be plugged in.

Super friendly staff and in a nice location

No mirrors! No mirror in bathroom and no mirror in room which was super annoying

The staff were great _ there was a mix up with public transport organised and they sorted things out for me. I would have missed a wedding ceremony if it was not for their generosity and help. Thank you !
