Bellbird Hotel

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great food and nice dining area.

Showers were clean but water wasn't warm, even on the hottest setting.

Clean and comfortable extremely good value and their restaurant food was fantastic. They also had a good range of vegetarian dishes on the menu.

The food in the bistro was great.

The room was terrible, door had been kicked in and dodgy fixed up, no tv, no fridge, no aircon, shared bathroom had one sink for the shower and toilet users to share. It wasn't cleaned over the long weekend. Ran out of paper. The fire alarm went off every night of our 3 night stay. We ended up leaving at 3am on the last night as we were getting no sleep. It had been a 40° day so the room was like a sauna. Window wouldn't close it just banged all night. Picture fell off wall in middle of night with a huge bang and broken glass all over the floor. Will never stay here again.

The rooms had a very unusual smell - quite musty, but the balcony area off our rooms was incredibly dirty with ash trays and empty glasses and visitor rubbish laying around. A small bar fridge with cold water in each room would have been nice, as you had to take the glass water jug to the toilets to fill up for fresh water.

The downstairs bar staff were wonderful and the cost and location were great, but the accommodation was very below average.
