Bellbird Hotel

Rooms older but clean and comfortable. Downstairs bar open till 2am but rooms were quiet. Staff were great and check in and check out easy.

Some bar staff were lovely. And highly rate the cleaner who let us out of the car park early morning Sunday as it was locked overnight and no one advised us of this. Not ideal for travelling parties.

Did not like that when we arrived and spoke with an Asian gentleman behind the bar, he made me write down my entire credit card details on a piece of paper, including the CCV security number. This cannot be the most secure and appropriate way to have payment details incase of issue. Why can't it charge to the initial booking details? I have since had to cancel the card with the bank. Not happy Also he took us to our room, even though we booked the Queen split two bed, he acknowledged that we had... but as we didn't "special request" two beds, he said we had to have one bed. So the booking was just irrelevant then? He also grinned saying oh I had this issue a couple of weeks ago with someone else too. This needs to be rectified on booking. The same gentleman, did not advise on checking in, that if we had our car in the parking of the hotel, the gates lock and do not open until 0900 h. As we were travelling we had planned to leave at 0600 h. Luckily a cleaner was able to override and let us out. Very poor communication

The staff and locals were great. The manager also, was great and took the time to listen to a former publican. Great beer and really good food, thanks to all the kitchen staff and the cellar man. The bed was comfy.

It’s not a dislike, but you have to know that pubs emit noise day and night. Have some earplugs handy and you will sleep through the night.😎

Its a cracking pub!! Its old the histroy is amazing.. Beautiful old country pub been renovated. The staff are amazing.. 10 outta 10 The food was awesome.. I would stay there again.. Breakfast.. OMG..so much choice.. ! Excellent pub..

Nothing.. its a great hotel.. The staff do an amazing job.

There was a mishap in the starting but the manger was very nice and accommodating and he sorting everything out , overall comfy place for value and a great experience , I would recommend if people want a good value clean place to stay .
