The Royal Oak Inn

The Royal Oak inn was in a lovely central position. It was ideal for visiting the theatre and for catching the bus around the lakes. Inn staff were helpful and friendly. The food was great, we ate there on two evenings and breakfast was freshly cooked to order.

The en-suite was a little tight for space but it was very clean.

Rooms are a little cold and radiators didn’t seem to work

Had my room ready for me prior to check in time which was great.

Got woken up at 3am with water dripping on my head leaking from the ceiling which was far from ideal.

Lovely traditional pub & hotel, had a great nights sleep in lovely big bed in a large double room wirh bay window, breakfast was great too. Beer garden to front of property nice sun trap x Staff were brilliant, and so helpful and friendly and made sure we were well looked after, would have extended our stay but fully booked. Will definately be visiting again xx 😊

Shower room was a bit tight and shower head kept falling down , towels were clean but full of holes had seen better days

Location was amazing, right in the mix of Bowness. Nice daily breakfast

Bed was small and very uncomfortable. Very limited car parking. Shower unit had black mould.
