External view of pub Okay if just want a stopover, not for a romantic stay

Pub interior basic. No separate dining area. Nothing else around in walking distance Acommodarion is outside of pub. Door was open wide on arrival. Room small and toilet tiny and door came loose at bottom. Condensation in window and bad smell of damp.Air humidifier in wardrobe. Didnt feel able to stay due to this, requested partial goodwill refund but was not forthcoming.

"Wonderful staff, nice location with clean, tidy and warm room."

Room was clean, tidy and warm. Staff were friendly and engaging. Only had one meal at the bar and it was delicious. Nice open fire in the main bar area which is always a treat. Quiet and peaceful location.

Not a gripe about the establishment but if driving, use Waze for warnings as the number potholes around that area are insane!

It really quite lovely. Set deep in the Cotswolds, the pub is idyllic, cosy and very welcoming. The landlord, is an absolute legend and makes you feel super welcome. I doubt I’d ever need to stay in the area again, but if I did, I’d head for the Stags Head. I’d get there early and enjoy all they have to offer.
