Great B&B (village pub) in a quiet rural location. The owner is really friendly, and the bar/waiting staff were brilliant. The breakfast was top-notch, and the menu and food in the evening was second to none. I would have no problem in booking another stay at this lovely venue.

The twin room is not ensuite, although the private bathroom was directly opposite the bedroom and certainly more than adequate. This was not a problem for me, but perhaps this could be stated on this site prior to booking, as it may not be to everyone's liking.

"Wouldn't go again."

The staff were very friendly The breakfast was ok.

The road was very noisy all through the night. The room was very tired and I found a plate under the wardrobe which had had dried food on, it must of been there ages. There was damp on one wall, there were water stains near the ceiling, rusty radiator in bathroom ,mold in shower and the toilet seat was loosing its paint. The bed creaked when you turned over.

"Very average and a little disappointing"

3.0

Very sad about the property I’ve staid in a lot of places all Over the country and world. But there were some safety aspects that weren’t ok as I was staying in there with my 9 year old son. Breakfast was good as it was included but when asking why there was no black pudding the lady on the last day said it wasn’t included In the breakfast included menu yet everything else was ? On the last day we also sat down at 9.30 am only people staying there. Three lady’s came I for breakfast ten minutes after us yet they got there breakfast before us and we had to wait an extra ten minutes again with a child shouldn’t happen. Tv didn’t work concerning damp on the wall where tv was . No windows opened in an event of a fire in An old property. Nothing updated since covid for the info in rooms so WIFI wasn’t up to date. Bath leaked and we didn’t know so my son slipped in the bathroom key was broken in window lock and came of in my hand seems this has been like this for some time

Excellent room in a traditional English pub. Great food too with generous portions. Lovely staff and a good selection of ales and beers.

Nothing. Very happy with everything I found there.

"Comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing"

9.0

Overall a most pleasurable stay, the breakfast is absolutely superb, I has a full English and it filled me up for the day. The evening meals are of equal quality and there is a good choice of various dishes. Staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help out with any queries you may have. The room was very comfortable and there was an large range of different teas and coffees on the refreshment tray in the room. Also the local clientele are very sociable so there is always someone to talk to if you are on your own.

The bathroom was not en-suite and I had to leave my room every time I wanted to shower etc, which was not ideal. I admit that no one else could use it as I had the key but it was not what I expected and the only criticism I have of the Brick Kilns. Get an ensuite sorted for rooom 2.
