Hope and Anchor

Very comfortable bed.

The hotel didn't serve food. So sadly, no breakfast.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, nice linen. Friendly staff.

The staff member on arrival was very friendly (even though at dinner another staff member was dismissive). The food was OK (not better).

Decent room but outrageously noisy from the quarters above. It was a Friday night but there was a blaring telly until midnight then shouting and screaming until well into the early hours. The soundproofing was just awful. I don't except perfectly quiet but it was impossible to sleep even with earplugs. I certainly wouldn't go back.

Perfect stay at the Hope and Anchor. The atmosphere in the Bar downstairs was relaxed and welcoming. Staff were friendly and accomodating. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed. We were allowed to bring in a chinese takeaway from next door, and was provided with plates and cutlery. The room itself was very clean, and way above the standard we were expecting. We was travelling with our dog, and he was welcomed. The manager even made a point of letting us know that once the pub was closed, we were very welcome to let our dog off lead to run in the gardens. Ideal location for our needs.

Loved everything - wish we could have stayed longer than the one night booked.

Very clean and staff we friendly

The room had everything we wanted. The bed and the pillows very comfortable. Bathroom and shower spotless and roomy. We had a very tasty meal on one of the nights and the beer was kept well.

We didn’t find anything to do in Flookburgh itself but it is very near to Cartmel and Grange over sands to visit. And we got the train over to Arnside.

Really friendly and welcoming place to stay. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and good size showers. We had evening meal which was excellent.
