Excellent value for money and Andy the general manager helped me out to check in early due to my cirmcumstances which a releo was beyond expectation and am very grateful room was very clean and loved my status slept very well

location ideal with free parking in the square opposite the pub the pub food was good with plenty of choice

The room we were in was close to the bar - this was not good Ants in the room on floor - window sill even on the bed linen & pillows making sleeping difficult NO BREAKFAST Very loud music until after 11pm Patrons leaving the Hope & Anchor were very loud and shouting

It was closed for a refurb. Couldn’t get in til 4. I was wet through. Kitchen was closed. A dog in the room above mine kept me awake howling.

Everything. There was no one else in the wbuilding. I was entirely alone. I thought as this pub was taking bookings for New Year’s Day that someone would be there running it but no. I was deserted. There was no food…no breakfast, no lunch…nothing available because the kitchen was being refurbished but this was not mentioned anywhere when the booking was made. As a consequence of this deserted pub I was made to use a steep wet fire escape to enter and leave the property with a key I was given. My room was barely wider than the bed. What a miserable way to spend New Year’s Day! I was booked for 2 nights but left the next morning. I feel ripped off at £a110 a night for this shoddy treatment. What a disgrace. If they didn’t want guests they should not have made the room available because this is no way to treat a guest.

Early check in charge of £10!!!! Considering it was a 4pm check in and we only wanted to check in from 3pm it was a bit rich to ask for £10….. never had this experience before and it would put me off staying again

Breakfast was supposed to be hot cooked , but was not it was a continental breakfast, very disappointed after reviews.

Early check in is ten pounds ,we were forty five minutes early but was told we had to wait or pay the ten pounds.they have seven rooms but only three were rented, I could understand if they were sold out.
