We didn’t get breakfast

No breakfast or staff working on Sunday morning

Pub was ok with reasonable prices

No breakfast available for the price, no clear instructions given on booking out in the morning, with no one available at the facialty, exit was gained by going through fire exit into back beer garden

Comfortable and clean

Disappointed there was no breakfast considering the price

Room clean and modern.

Difficult to access after hours due to awkward catch on the back gate. Difficult to open in the dark and in the rain.

After reading the reviews we were expecting a continental breakfast but was told at check in no breakfast given now service at the bar and food from the kitchen was excellent *****

The room we stayed in was very small and basic especially for the price we paid maybe its par for course being in the lake district but at £105 we thought it was a bit high

Bed was comfy

No free breakfast even though it should have been offered Had to keep windows open as it was warm but all we could smell was smoke as people were smoking outside the pub under our window. Walls were paper thin, could hear people snoring, talking, dog barking and people stomping around above us around 2am. Pub was meant to close at 12 however very loud music played until around 1am.

Rooms are of a decent standard, if a little small. Smart TV in room but requires some familiarity of the particular brand to use easily. Coffee and tea making facilities included. Dinner in the pub was decent and reasonably priced. We had an issue during our stay and raised this with management at the first opportunity. This was resolved to my satisfaction.

There was a karaoke in the bar until midnight which we hadn't really expected. Fairly loud but I concede it is a pub, so not entirely unreasonable. Id recommend the volume be turned down a bit after 11 when quests are staying. Parking is an absolute nightmare and it's in an area where I worried about my vehicle. NO breakfast options of any sort, so plan ahead. Have to leave via the fire escape outside of pub hours. That may be tricky when it's raining as the access is a metal bridge (slippery) and a walk through the beer garden to a path to a side road.
