"A lovely Inn let down by a horrible bed and noise from the railway."

Lovely friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. Large, clean and spacious room with spotless ensuite.

Horrible horrible pillows - really hard and uncomfortable and nasty over firm mattress - the most uncomfortable bed. Lots of train noise from the railway line. All I want on a business trip is a quiet room and a comfortable bed and I got neither.

"Poor menu"

We’ve been coming here for many years to eat and it has always been one of our favourite places. Last night was a completely different experience. Whilst the food was delicious, the portions were so small that we all ended up picking up something on the way home. The place hasn’t been the same since it was taken over last year. The restaurant menu is non existent and comprises of a very inadequate bar menu with a choice of 3 specials 1 of which wasn’t available. There is no decent alternative choice for food allergies such as gluten free. The restaurant was also really cold which became uncomfortable after a while. I doubt we will be back.

Excellent food, friendly staff

Minor but breakfast a bit slow, no coffee until breakfast showed up, I was working so not a leisurely start to day.
