The Walnut Tree Inn

The photographs are deceiving – it is right opposite a railway siding– trains running past up until midnight and starting up again at 5:30 in the morning and the pub has noisy bands running until 1130

Nothing – very average facilities despite how it looks on Booking.com – avoid if you can

Clean and well-presented room.

Disappointed to arrive and be told that the hotel was only offering a limited menu for the evening we were staying. The main reason we booked was because we were attracted by the description of the hotel's cuisine. Although we had booked an evening meal in advance, we were not warned that the only options would be pizza, burgers or tapas. As my wife is GF, that was pretty limiting. We went elsewhere for an evening meal. Breakfast was OK.

Being in the countryside

Too noisy due to the busy train line, especially at night. Getting a restful night was challenge.

Comfy room and bed,very clean and superb breakfast.

The staff were very welcoming and the food was exceptional!

The property is located right next to a train track. The noise of the trains did disturb our sleep. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.

The food was excellent, well presented and very tasty.

HAD A LOVELY EVENING MEAL AND BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD . ROOM WAS COMPACT BUT CLEAN. TEA COFFEE FACILITIES WHERE SUPPLIED.

WAS A LITTLE NOISY FROM THE TRAIN BEING SO CLOSE AND WE WERE RIGHT AT THE FRONT BY THE RAILWAY. GOT QUITE WARM IN OUR ROOM BUT WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOW FOR SOME FRESH AIR.

Food was good, had an evening meal and breakfast.
