Bay Horse

The hotel does not offer luggage storage. I was told by the staff that after checking out the next day, I would have to drag my luggage back to the train station to store it there. The room is directly above the restaurant, and past 11 p.m., people were still watching TV and chatting together. The soundproofing is terrible, and it's very noisy.

Room was very comfortable. Very warm welcome from Naomi on arrival. Great food. Will definitely be staying again.

Would have been handy to have a small fridge in the room for cold drinks but did not spoil our stay.

Room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, love the original features Everything you need Staff very friendly and welcoming Loved the bar and beer garden The owner was really nice, allowing us to park the car and check in later on that day

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was styled nicely. The building is very old with the low ceilings and fixtures it made the room have a quaint feel to it. The room was clean, and the bathroom was a nice size, bigger than expected The staff where very friendly and professional. Staying in the pub was a good choice. Very close to city and all amenities.

Not a criticism and we didn't find it too much of an issue but on main busy street so there's a lot of traffic noise if you've got the window open.

Excellent service and location

Nothing everything was fantastic

We stayed at the Bay Horse to attend an event nearby , it was ideally situated for us , only 70yds from the event. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful even to the point of making me a brew while I waited downstairs for my partner to arrive. The room was beautiful with just the right amount of quirkiness, although we were overlooking the main road there was no noise at all and we both had a pleasant nights sleep

The pub was busy at night with it being York Races hence they served beer in plastic glasses There was no food available but there were plenty of options nearby A little expensive but it is York

Excellent staffing and facilities. Great location.
