Location, parking, clean room Owner super friendly when we arrived

The window did not close properly so room was cold. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise in the bar way past closing till 3.30am

Lovely clean and cozy room. Great spacious shower. Perfect location

Unfortunately, didn’t get a lot of sleep. The room was very comfortable but the noise outside From idiots in the street was unbelievable.

Excellent location, close to the station and short walk to the centre of York. The staff were very welcoming

Only disappointment was that they did not serve breakfast, however there are plenty of other local places serving breakfast

Welcoming Staff. Quirky room, homely features with plenty of extras if required. Warm room on a very cold night. Parking at the back of the property. Great location.

Couldn't get shower to work. This was early morning. No one about to ask. The room also had a bath, so was fine. Front room, constant noise from main street. Due to being an old building and probably listed. Would stay again, but ask for a room at the back.

Very clean.

Until the pub downstairs closes at midnight, it will be like you are trying to fall asleep inside the bar. The sound proofing is non-existent, even if it's not a busy night. This is not mentioned as prominently as it should be in the listing given how much it will color your experience of staying there--the accommodation is really only fit for purpose if you plan to be in the pub till closing.

The only downside was the first night was VERY noisy , with traffic most of the night which kept me awake . I do realise this can't be helped and nor can the fact there's only single glazing . I definitely would have preferred decaf coffee in the room .
