Friendly staff, clean room - bed was a bit small and the ceiling is low

Great room above the pub. It was really quiet when we stayed since it was between Christmas and New Year. We were welcomed so warmly and had all the help we needed. The location is great, you can easily walk into the city centre - we enjoyed walking around along the city walls! The bed was comfortable.

We unfortunately didn't get to taste the food, since the place was mostly closed between Christmas and New Year - but there were plenty of restaurants around us that we really enjoyed!

Nice clean room with good access from the rear of the pub, the two ladies we spoke to where very friendly.

On arrival we found that no food was being served, we had booked the pub due to reviews about the food quality, we could of been told about this before arrival and could possibly had the opportunity to rebook

The room was spacious.. tastefully decorated.. comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom.with tea and coffee facilities. Spotlessly clean and full of period charm. The pub itself is also full of character, with a good selection of beers and very friendly and helpful staff.
