Lovely warm welcome despite pub kitchen having to close for a while due to flu outbreak amongst staff. Well done for keeping things running. Hope all have recovered now.

Very comfy room , close to town and sweet room in a character building.so big huge wooden beams and cosy height ceilings.

Room was on the front. A few loud lorry noises at night. But to be expected. Just not used to sleeping so close to a road. Windows obviously single glaze due to the age of the building. Not a negative at all. But if not used to noise at night it could be an issue if staying longer than a night.

Scaey plumbing! But it's an old building, just made you jump, no actual problem with it.

Comfy and warm. And clean. Shower brill.

Two people came in pub after me and were served before me. Could hear people above. No-one to help with heavy case up steep stairs.

There was a bit of chat bledding from the pub below, but it didn't go on too loud or late

We have stayed here a couple of times now and the whole place is just lovely. Its a proper old school pub with original features. I would highly recommend the food , quality home cooked food and the portions are something else. The staff are so down to earth and helpful. If you can stay on a Thursday and do the Quiz! You will have a good laugh with the regulars. We love this place ❤️
