Charming old pub with very comfortable room. The owners were delightful and very helpful in working out how we could store our luggage before catching a train the next day.

Great location, lovely spacious room, and convenient parking with easy access to car park spaces. Everything we needed was included – extra toilet rolls, coffee, tea, and other thoughtful touches. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return.

Great location for the price, very short walk to the boundary walls. Great hosts who were very pleasant. Warms up very nicely. Easy access into the accommodation out of hours.

Not the most comfortable bed but that’s dependent on preferences. Macerator in the toilet can be noisy but that’s understood considering the age of the building.

Great location and very close to the train station. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly from the moment you arrive to when you leave. The chef cooks delicious home cooked food which we will definitely go back for, we need to try his Sunday lunch. The building itself is very historical and the rooms are clean, comfortable and very spacious. We would 100% stay here again. Thanks again to the owner and all the staff. 😊

On arrival the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were made to feel welcome by all, even the pub's locals. The location is perfect for the station and the city centre. We stayed 2 nights and spent the first enjoying the friendly local pub vibe in the Bay Horse. We ordered a meal and when it arrived we were gobsmacked by the size of it, even the locals found it amusing how large the portions were. I have a large appetite, and I could only eat about a third of it.

The only issue we found was with the windows in the room. As it's a listed building they have single glazing and as a result the road noise is loud in the morning. We also had a drunk on the street shouting for 15 mins at 2am which woke us both.

Couple next door fighting all night and our room was by the busy road so we seemed to be trapped in noise however not the hotels fault. However usually rooms come with small shampoo bottles etc the is nothing provided hygiene wise but thats not a problem just wish I knew in advance.
