Check in a little confusing - never did receive the email giving details of how to access my room with code for key box etc Staff were happy to help though

Comfortable, quiet hotel with nice pub/restaurant.

No breakfast provided due to staff shortages. Surely coffee, juice and a croissant could have been offered. Located in a small village so nowhere else nearby to have breakfast. Not sure if any staff on the premises overnight.

Easy to park and private access to the accommodation which can also be accessed from inside the pub. The pub is quite busy and very pleasant. The food is not cheap but is very nice and represents good value for money with a fairly extensive menu and we ate there both evenings. The staff were friendly particularly the Landlady who was helpful and friendly.

A few minor things the biggest of which is that the WiFi is not powerful enough to work in the room even although the book in the room gave details how to log on. As there is very little phone signal and we had left the kids with a relative while we attended a funeral we felt a bit remote. The pub does not offer breakfast which is unfortunate as there is nowhere in the village to buy breakfast although there is a small fridge so we were able to purchase items in the next town and keep them fresh for breakfast. There are basic tea and coffee making facilities in the room but the kettle doesn’t fit under the tap so a small jug would be a welcome addition. The room was a decent size and functional without being spectacular.

Getting access with a key lock that is way too small and my friends didn't have a key lock number sent to them. The owner had a day off and was very angry when we found him

Excellent location. Good basic, clean room. Superb food in the pub
