The Strawbury Duck Inn

Staff were great. Food was excellent

Idyllic location. Staff, Food, Fellow Guests and general ambience were absolutely amazing.

The Lane(s) from the main road to the Strawbury Duck are not exactly 'Vehicle Friendly'. They are more suited to a Land Rover or a Tractor. This is not the fault of the venue.

Access to and from the pub was difficult, narrow unmade roads with potholes. Parking was difficult if you came back when the pub was open at weekends. Mallard room, the side of the double bed had broken down nearest the door. Kept feeling I was going to fall out of bed!

The Strawbury Duck was ideally situated for us as we wanted to go walking in the area. We received a friendly welcome and all the staff we encountered during our stay were polite & friendly. Our room could be described as rustic, but it was clean & comfortable enough for the time we would actually be in the room. The meals we had, both breakfasts and dinners, were tasty and plentiful.

The shower over the bath wasn’t ideal, but it sufficed.

This is a lovely country pub. Staff and food are excellent. We have stayed 4 times now and are never disappointed. The location to the station is great for access to Manchester
