Nido Colibrí - Private Rooms and hostel Dorms in Remate de Paseo Montejo

Nad and team were very welcoming and kind. The hostel is located in between the two most popular areas of the city and everything feels super safe. Great option for a few days in Merida.

Showers were quite dirty and definitely need more regular cleaning.

Comfy bed, large bathroom, working fan, internet and TV. Well located and easy-going staff

My room was on the ground floor next to the kitchen so there was a lot of noise from the street and other guests

Fantastic hosts and location. After some poor research and decisions on my part, Nad went above and beyond helping to get me sorted and to the hostel. The location is excellent at the end of a main boulevard, which actually turns into a cul-de-sac at night and a nice pedestrian area. Eclectic selection of restaurants and bars within a 5-15 min walk, with a cenote within 15-20 min walk as well. Basic accomodations , but SUPER comfortable bed and pillows too and cooking facilities in the room & lobby if needed . Highly recommend the entire area, and will definitely stay here when I return.

The hostel is great. The location is perfect, you are in the middle of everything and it feels very safe. The beds are the best that I’ve seen in a hostel with thick mattresses, nice pillows and new sheets. Getting a towel on check in is as a welcome bonus! And the free morning coffee is so good that I took a bag of the beans home! The best thing about the hostel is the manager, Nad. she was really welcoming and happy to assist with restaurant recommendations and organising tours. I stayed at other places in Merida and this is definitely not standard service!

I liked everything! it would be nice to have more space to sit, but as it’s in such a central location space is at a premium. They do have plans to develop the roof space which will solve this issue.

Very clean, friendly staff, free coffee and perfect location Also I arrived late in Merida and didn’t have a place to stay and though I wrote to them a bit in panick over google they answered right away and helped with directions, taxi and made sure there was someone to greet me at the hostel when I arrived! Such good service! They really made me feel welcome and safe 🙏 thanks so much!

It was good and comfortable stay for one night.

I particularly didn’t like the host as he was unfriendly and strange (didn’t pay attention to what we asked). It was hard to communicate in English. Facilities were old and not that impressive as it was described in the overview.
