The room was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We found the room noisy from the bar below with music still playing much longer than expected.

Fantastic staff, good food and right at the end of the high street. Loads of character, and full of joy. A must visit!

No hook on the back of the main door, but that's all

We loved our stay. The pub on a Saturday night required dinner reservations a few hours in advance but it was so worth it. Room was very cozy and clean, amenities and snacks were also nice. The bus system to get to and from Oxford or the Didcot GWR station was extremely convenient and ran frequently. We would stay again!

Stay was great. The rooms are fantastic - clean and well equipped. Lots of character. Staff were great too, and attached to a pub which is top drawer.

Parking isn't great. Stairs up to the rooms are very steep, & while it was fine for me some could have problems

Dinner was fine and breakfast more than adequate. Service was friendly and helpful.

The room would have been good except that it appeared not to have been checked or maintained for some time. The lighting was fine in the cupboard and bathroom but inadequate in the room itself. The main heating faded during the night. There was a supporting electric heater but this did not work at all; it seemed that the batteries in its controller were flat. The shower was unusable because it cut itself off after 2 seconds because the tap fell to off under its own weight. It was too far from the shower-head to hold it on with one hand while showering. Definitely not worth the price - but all could have been put right if the management checked occasionally.

Very friendly staff. Lovely pub. Great location and a really comfy bed!
