Absolutely everything. Communication with Mary prior to our stay was great, always answered my messages quickly. Advised us where we can park, asking if we would like a table for dinner as the football was on and would be busy, unfortunately we didn’t because we had a wedding to go to. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Mary, David and Mary’s daughter ( so sorry we didn’t catch your name) are extremely friendly and hospitality. Nothing was too much bother for them. The room was lovely, cosy, clean and extremely well equipped with tea and coffee, extra blankets. We did want for anything. It’s an amazing homely pub. Lovely old building with all the original features. Really charming. A proper pub which are few and far between these days which is very sad.

Absolutely nothing, there’s nothing to not like. It’s an absolutely charming pub.

Lovely family run business. Every staff member we interacted with were absolutely lovely and so welcoming.

The room was hot at night however they gave us bottled water to help.

Staff were very friendly and host was great and really helpful.

Didn't realise the bathroom for the room we were given was separate from the room and we needed to access it through the outside of our room. No direct access into the bathroom without leaving the room.

"Relaxing and wonderful"

The hotel itself is old but has great character. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was superb.

There really wasn’t anything to dislike here.

The room was lovely and clean with a lot of character, great value delicious breakfast and the staff were so friendly and helpful! We stayed for a wedding at the Blazing Donkey, and it was the perfect location for us to walk back to at the end of the night.
