The Five Bells, Eastry

Die Betten waren sehr bequem, WLAN hat sehr gut funktioniert. Frühstück war typisch englisch und gut. Das Personal durchweg sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Der Pub sehr authentisch. In 15 Minuten am Fähranleger in Dover. Trotz der aufgeführten Kritikpunkte insgesamt noch eine sehr gute Gesamtwertung.

Für ca. 170 Euro/Nacht ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht in Ordnung. Ein kleines, zu warmes Zimmer direkt über dem Pub - die teuerste Unterkunft unsere ganzen Reise. Zum Glück schließt der Pub um 23 Uhr, daher ab diesem Zeitpunkt Ruhe. Wasserspülung benötigt mehrere Minuten um sich aufzufüllen, sehr störend, falls man einmal mehrmals hintereinander abspülen möchte. Parkplätze sind zwar vor dem Pub vorhanden, waren aber durch Pubgäste belegt, daher mussten wir in der engen Nebenstrasse parken wo uns auch prompt ein Einheimischer einen Lackschaden verpasst hat. P.S.: Zur Antwort des Hotels: Ich finde das immer lustig, wenn die Verantwortung für einen reibungslosen Ablauf des Aufenthalts dem Gast aufgedrückt wird. Nein, niemand hat etwas davon gesagt, dass ein Parkplatz reserviert werden muss. In der Hotelbeschreibung steht: "Parkplatz inbegriffen". Wir waren samstags abends um 21 Uhr auf dem Zimmer, sollen wir da ernsthaft nach einem Handwerker rufen wenn der Spülkasten nicht so schnell volläuft wie gewünscht? Nehmt einfach das Feedback an und prüft, ob ihr was besser machen könnt...

We visited as was attending a wedding just down the road and we are so glad we decided to stay here. Staff were incredible and really friendly. Happy to help with anything and give recommendations for the local area. Nothing was too much and would happily go the extra mile. This included the bartenders, chefs, housekeeping and managers. Everyone was passionate about working there and you could tell they all love their jobs. Food was delicious as well and really good portion sizes for the price. Thankyou all so much!

Wish I could have stayed longer!

Everyone working at the five bells were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. And the breakfast was delicious!

Our twin room had a little walk to the bathroom but that was no real issue.

Es war sehr schmutzig, ich würde es nicht weiter empfehlen!!! Wobei schmutzig noch gelinde ausgedrückt ist.

Es war einfach nur dreckig .

A nice B&B in the middle of a quaint wee village with wonderfully friendly staff. The room was simple but well equipped and clean, the breakfast was great and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful at every moment. There was also parking for the car.
