"A good stay and good value but please sort out the carpets."

8.0

Good location. Very welcoming staff. Good car park to leave motorcycles with cctv.

It’s a great place with attention to detail except for ‘the carpet’ They really must change it all. It’s the only thing that lets it down. It should have been changed about 10 yrs ago.

"Stayed there several times for a good reason."

Excellent quiet location with good food. Easy flat mostly off road cycle route to Watchet. Only a 10 to 15minute walk to Washford station steam trains too!

"Good value breakfast, but dinner service was slow and inconsistent, and the garden service felt bad"

6.0

Breakfast was good & worth the money. Room was very clean & bed was comfortable

Order dinner Starter & main course. Waiting over an hour for food, did go & ask what the hold up was they it was coming. Starter never arrived just the main meal. The following day we sat in garden & fancied some chips at 6pm. When went to order they said too busy no more beer garden orders. It was only a portion of chips. They could jhave said I'm sorry we're a little busy if you wouldn't mind waiting. But we weren't given the choice. Didn't meet the owners. Also the bathroom window should be frosted.

The prettiness of the place and surroundings and the allowment of a dog.

Having stayed here before in a totally different room and this time staying in a complete contrast room. The room was right above the main bar and entrance and was extremely noisy. Not much sleep was had by both of us, including the dog. It was a very small room to allow a dog to stay . We spent more time out of the room than in. We ordered food from a beer garden menu of fish and chips in a basket. We were asked if we wanted peas or mushy peas, but when the food arrived, no peas at all and too greasy to finish. When we asked about the peas after my husband was told that they do not include peas in the outdoor menu , which was confusing as originally we were asked which we preferred with our meal. After having such a lovely stay last time, we feel that this stay was inadequately placed for a dog and two people with extremely stressful jobs to have a nice restful break away as like the time before . So very sad that this has tainted our future stays at this property, and unfortunately will not consider another stay in the future. Fully understanding of its a working public pub and that business was doing so well , we wish you all the very best for the future.
