"Guinea pigs heaven"

9.0

We very much liked the quirky nature of the whole place. The pub area was very homely and comfortable and the log cabins were more than adequate for a short stay. Access was a little difficult up a very steep slope though if you suffer with any walking disability. We booked this place as an alternative to our usual Premier Inn stay and were very glad we did. Also having the guinea pigs roaming nearby at all times was lovely.

The car parking near the chalets was a little treacherous underfoot if you are not very stable and could have done with a bit of attention and pruning. Also no one checked the rooms for needing clean dry towels or bins emptying unless we specifically requested and although new towels were supplied the old wet ones were never collected.

"Over priced for facilities but great breakfast & location to visit Dorset."

5.0

Location & staff.

First impressions are so important & being shown to our cabin with dirty decking covered in leaves & debris along with the outdoor furniture being dirty and covered in cobwebs, including the door frame to the property did not create a great first impression or experience. We had to find a yard brush to clean the entrance to the cabin, clean the table & chairs so we could sit out & also sweep all the decking to make it suitable to sit out. The cabins were very old fashioned inside & the areas to hang your clothes don’t work due to where the hooks are placed as these are not wide enough for the hangers, the cabinet below here is not required and a rail would make better use of the space in the recess. Free WiFi which was good, the cabins could do with a wall mounted TV & a little fridge, the whole property and surrounding grounds needs a thorough tidy up & clean, very eccentric but with lovely loos! The bar area was nice to sit at and a great breakfast however the property lacked atmosphere due to it being mostly empty. Good location for visiting Dorset.

"Lovely rustic and comfortable"

9.0

Great location 5 mins off the main road. Very quiet area, charming chalets, great breakfast. Perfect for a couple of nights getaway! Very family friendly. Only half an hour from Durdle door and Weymouth. Would definitely stay there again.

Signal is not great leaving the hotel, so prep your map/journey and then set off. Nothing the place can change, just worth bearing in mind.
