"Great place to stop over for friendly staff, good food and location near but off motorway."

Good food, great location for our travel purposes. Very friendly and efficient staff. Repeat visit and would certainly stay again. Very accommodating over need for hypoallergenic bedding - and very comfortable bed and pillows.

"Lovely place, with a couple minor issues"

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed & lovely decor.

Unfortunately the radiator in the bathroom was set to a high consistent temperature that we couldn’t adjust which made the bedroom very warm! The breakfast was a slight disappointment, no gluten free cereals available and was given hard boiled poached eggs :(

"Lovely pub and restaurant with excellent food. Staff were great and room was comfortable."

Food was excellent and the pub is lovely. Our room was very comfortable and the double glazing works well to exclude the road noise but if the window is open it is noisy. It won’t bother most guests though.

The location was very convenient for visiting the Lake District. The breakfast had a good selection to choose from, and the quality of the food was excellent. Evening dinner in the restaurant was also excellent, again with many choices on the menu. The staff are friendly and helpful.
