Rose and Crown Hotel

Very convenient location for what I needed. The lowest cost hotel available in the area. A historic building. Generally clean, nice hot shower (after running the water for a long time). Parking on site. Very helpful staff. Coffee in room

The hotel is clean, but a little shabby and would benefit from small updates / repairs to a lot of places; trim paint, carpet, dented doors, heating.

Absolutely nothing. We COULD NOT stay at the hotel especially with a small child.

The information and pictures provided were completely misleading.The property was cold and damp. No central heating, bedding felt and smelt damp, attempts to disguise with plug in air freshers. Used complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Pillow protectors had old sweat stains on them and the carpets were badly stained.The hotel was advertised as having a cosy bar, this was closed in January we booked in February again misleading information. We arrive late evening after a long journey with a small child to find the property in darkness, we saw the state of the accommodation and made a decision to find alternative accommodation straight away. We were not expecting 5 star because of the price. Booking.com needs to inspect this property.

Everything near by and had parking.

No sufficient towels, water, tea cups and no glass.

It was cheap, clean and good location. Honeymoon room was massive!

Very rundown and poorly maintained. The whole building smelt of the kitchen cooking with Indian spices. In addition, the Bar area was closed indefinitely. The room was very basic, no heating apart from a portable radiator. the windows and general Deko was badly in need of cleaning and updating.

did not tell us that the restaurant would be closed had to travel to get food also no one on site needed extra blanket room was freezing
