I am surprised this is classified as a hotel as it was more like a hostel. The room was cold and uninviting. The room was not cleaned during our stay, the two tiny towels we were given were not exchanged during our 3 night stay.

We liked the old school Inn flavour to this establishment. Staff were friendly and helpful at every turn. I cant emphasize the positive from the staff. The building is interesting. The town has some great restaurants.

The facilities are in need of an update. The rooms need some paint and touch ups. Great potential at this point. The bathrooms and carpet are in need of entering this century.

How close it was to the amenities. Beds were comfy

Mismatch of furniture, dusty and dirty floors especially under the beds. Loud music till early morning Staff weren’t pleasant to begin with but after spending money at bar later on staff were friendly. Toilets in bar weren’t very pleasant.

The location of the Rose & Crown is excellent and there is ample free car parking (obviously remembering to enter your vehicle registration number). It has a public bar and a good sized restaurant.

We appreciate that the hotel is old, but has character. Our room was very spacious but we only had a towel change once during our 5 night stay. We also had to ask for more coffee/milk sachets. The shower was terrible, it was more like a rinse shower head and we had no hand soap - we went to Tesco & bought some. The bed was uncomfortable but the TV size was great and the kettle was a fast boil. No breakfast was available but there was a massive restaurant area which I'm sure could have been put to good use, even if it was a Continental breakfast only on offer.

Günstige Lage

Das Bad ist sehr unpraktisch (keinerlei Ablageflächen), das ganze Zimmer äußert renovierungsbedürftig.
