Very dog friendly the owners were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent

A great quiet country pub with the most welcoming owners, fantastic food at reasonable prices.,a great base for anyone wanting piece and quiet or wanting to walk the northern wainwright's or any of the other brilliant local walks.

"The view from our room was amazing"

We recently stayed at The Mill Inn, the breakfasts were lovely, anything you wanted they tried to provide and the meals were delicious, especially the Thai Green curry. Location was perfect 👌 Would definitely stay again.

"Fantastic Inn With Rooms"

Absolutely top notch stay, did a walk up blencathra and there’s nothing better after 4/5 hours hiking than settling down in front of the log burner with a cold pint in the mill inn. Geri and Steve are the best hosts and the food is extremely good, hearty pub food not trying to be Michelin star just doing a traditional menu extremely well. Room was cosy and excellent value will 100% be back soon
