The Boathouse

We loved the room, the facilities and the decent coffee in our room which we could top up. The staff were great, food was smashing. Try the raspberry cocktail! A lovely refreshing long Drink.

The shower head kept flipping down resulting in hilariously funny yoga moves, but it didn't matter

We had a excellent dinner even though it was a Sunday night. A good sleep and then a leisurely breakfast. What is not to like? It was unfortunate that the main course came just before we had finished our starter - bit of a rush!

I found the accessible bathroom strange. The smallest sink I've seen with the most forceful water - so easy to get water everywhere. Not a huge problem!

It was only a 10 minute drive into Bath "downtown" Centre however it can be a nightmare finding parking in town. I think I saw a bus service heading into town from near the property and it would probably be about a 20min ride into town. The rooms had been recently refurbished with an "old world theme" and are very nicely appointed and plenty of parking availability close to the rooms.

There was a small lift behind the stairs leading up to the rooms, which we only discovered after we had lugged our luggage up one flight of stair, so it would have been nice to know about it when we checked in. However I guess they weren't to know how heavy our luggage was or how many pieces we had, lol

Really near the handy park n ride into Bristol.

Location

Difficult getting a table for dinner. A lot of tables were”booked” but had no indication of this on the tables.

We enjoyed our stay and breakfast was a delicious bonus. We recommend The Boathouse as a lovely place to eat and stay in.

We liked everything.
