The Boathouse

The room was excellent. It was pleasantly large, and decorated well, with a bathroom attached with a free standing tin bath. The room had a lovely large balcony, that included a swing chair and tables/chairs for relaxation. The balcony also over looked the river which was a bonus! There was a park and ride bus stop nearby so getting into Bath city centre was easy and the buses ran every 15 minutes. The buses got very busy, so getting back to the hotel was harder, we ended up getting an Uber, which wasn't too expensive. The food was good quality pub grub, we ate there in the evening, there was a nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly.

The staff were fabulous! The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was decorated with an historical theme which was really well done.

The shower kept changing temperature, making the while showering process quite tricky. It went from too hot to cold and back again.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Boathouse, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The place is incredibly cozy and charming, with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The staff were kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Their attentiveness and positive attitude really stood out. The location is fantastic, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. I also loved that it’s dog-friendly, which makes it even more special for pet owners who want to bring their furry friends along. I would definitely recommend Boathouse to anyone looking for a lovely place with great service, a warm ambiance, and a welcoming attitude toward dogs!

Lovely fresh room, comfortable bed and pillows, wifi was good, nice selection of tea and coffee in the room with biscuits and cans of filtered water.
