Ella Rawana Den Hotel

The room met the need of our group of 3. The view from outside was very nice. Very friendly service.

Nice location, out of the crowd but walking distance to main streets. Room cozy but with enough space, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast offering also local options. Staff very kind and helpful.

Great location, lovely breakfast with a mix of sweet and savoury local cuisine. The owner was always helpful and arranged tuk tuk transport to and from our visit to the tea factory as well as for our sunrise walk to the start of the Ella rock climb

I really liked the view from our big balcony. We were a fam of 4 (us, with our toddler and mother in law) and it was a perfect set up, so highly recommend to those who’d like to stay together but still has some privacy. Bed was comfortable and they did pay attention and added extra cotton layer so the bedding wasn’t plastic. Good to know that they dont have AC which isnt a bad thing since Ella generally cooler than the coastline. Another great thing they arranged a tuktuk for us to bring our baggage up and down which was a huge help. Breakfast was more than enough, cook was varying it as we were staying 6days. He was extremely kind! If youre around make sure you try to the space garden and eat grandma’s kitchen which is like 5mins walk from this place. I highly recommend!!!

I wouldn’t necessarily say I didnt like, but if the wooden floor would have been newer that would have make a difference to our time outside at the balcony. I didnt mind but our son was running around barefoot and we had to remove a few “sticks”(?) out of his feet. It is indeed steep, but it’s not their fault, Ella is hilly to naturally you have to climb up and down a little. We are all sporty hence we didnt mind too much.

Friendly and helpful host who provided a lovely breakfast every day with a variety of things to choose from. Very well located in the heart of Ella, though there is a short but quite steep walk up the road / alley way that takes you to the hotel from the main street.
