Very clean. Friendly.

So many steps but lovely view. Not accessible by taxi. Final walk upto reception. Take you bags up by motorbike. Can get tuk tuk down but not up!

We liked everything! Amazing view!! clean, comfortable bed, Darshan(the host) was very kind ! The hotel is close to the city center ( 5 min.) but very quite. Basic breakfast in the lovely garden. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The staff were very nice and the service was great! They really made our stay better with their hospitality ;) The room was great with an amazing view of ella rock. We were so sad to leave we had so much fun

The views from the patio was spectacular, the room was minimalist but comfortable and nice. Breakfast was good, totally enjoyed it, coming from someone who does not typically have breakfast. It is also quiet when the renovation is not going on next door.

The way up to the place is very...very steep, definitely not suitable for the old or someone who has mobility problems. Tried driving up the slope, the car was slipping and ended up having to park in a corner of the road below, not ideal since it had been raining and was muddy. There is no parking nearly, will have to walk about 10 minutes to do street parking.

Janaka and Darshana were terrific. They were so warm and welcoming. We stayed in the lodge overlooking Ella Rock.

It's a step hike up the hill but worth it for the view and proximity to the center of town.

An amazing view, and the nicest staff! Will definitely be coming back.

Got to give it a 1 to average out some unjustified positive reviews. Here are the honest pros and cons: - position: it is very near the main road BUT see below - general vibe: if you take out the context the rooms (at least the 2 triple rooms on ground floor) are not so bad. We felt more like in a private house than in a hotel as never met any other guest and had a little garden for ourselves - cleaning: more than decent tbh

- position: it is a super steep dark path to get there and they only offer Tuktuk service on arrival and departure (nevertheless the tuktuk cannot bring more than 1 person uphill so you will be asked to get down and walk half way) - general vibe: when you arrive it feels a bit like a construction sit - comfort: the mattresses have a plastic cover that make sleeping impossible! Honestly never had such a bad sleeping experience: 6 of us and no one slept well - shower: NO hot water and no tend or glass so all the bathroom gets wet - WIFI: not working (not much different from other places tbh) - Breakfast: cannot say it wasn’t good or big, just you cannot chose! Everyday you find a couple of different dishes but cannot customize and even when tried to ask for the next day we did not receive what was requested - payment: cash only and it wasn’t specified until checkout. Overall too expensive for what you get
