Ella Rawana Den Hotel

The view over Ella is wonderful (we had an deluxe room at the 2nd floor). If you don‘t have one of these you can take the steps to the rooftop. The way to the hotel is very steep (good to know for people who have problems by walking) but it‘s ok. It was clean and for Sri Lanka a very well hotel. Breakfast was great and very much. Lovely stuff.

We couldn‘t close the bathroom from inside. A few aunts we had but nothing dramatic.

the balcony with the view was really great, the place was clean and the stuff was friendly, eventhough they didn't understand english much.

the breakfast was quite small, the shower gel was missing and when we asked (at the breakfast) for refill, they said, that they will do it but they didn't (maybe they even didn't understand).

The hosts were kind and welcoming.

The accommodation did not meet our expectations. It seems that more attention should be given to hygiene. Additionally, due to construction work in the neighborhood, there was no electricity in the morning.

Great views feom the balconies, lovely staff and rooms. Close to centre of town. Short walk with a steep driveway.

A choice in breakfast, vegetarian or not. Was never asked.

Breakfast was fine. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Some of the facilities were on the basic end but still a good deal for the price point. Clean and neat. Outdoor area from which you get a great view of the valley was the highlight.

Nobody's fault, but the climb uphill from the road is unexpectedly steep.
