Lake Batur Cottage

there was no lake view from our room despite being beside the lake, lots of bike noise

A boutique family run hotel, located right next to Lake Batur. Ketut, the owner, is friendly and attentive. Staff was very helpful. You have a private hot spring pool set in a beautiful garden, a treat after the Mount Batur hike.

A reception area would be helpful for guest arrival.

It was close to the Mount Batur hike we wanted to go on. The guide was Amazing.

Upon arrival it was difficult to find someone to actually check us in. There is no 24/7 reception or front desk. The air conditioning did not work very well. Food was very limited. Nothing to do/explore In the area - very secluded. My biggest complaint was the noise. They have dogs who kept us awake all night long barking and fighting. There is no pool - it is a small fountain. No fitness facility. No games room. As advertised. I would not recommend this facility. Stay in ubud and drive or have someone drive you to the hike.

Great host and good place to enjoy the hot springs

The look of rooms were great! Big space inside and they were building two more by the looks of it too.

The shower was cold. Also there was a family playing in the pool (which we were staying behind) until quite late (11.30pm ish). I would just mention to people when checking in about what time the pool closes at night to not disturb the others staying in the rooms.

Great location by the river, clean room and bathroom, comfy bed, complimentary coffee and water, good owner, beautiful outdoor spaces, naturally warm/hot pool outside, small breakfast included and quiet neighbourhood.

There is small training/boxing place right next to so can be bit noisy. But you are staying in the village with locals so that’s normal. The breakfast could be improved, only omelet or pancake or nasi goreng with tea or coffee, some toast/fruits/juice would be nice additiom. Also remember to pack mosquito repellent!
