Room clean. Looks lovely when you walk in. Chap being the bar on a night was lovely.

Mattress is beyond end of life. If your partner moves in bed at all, you get woken up literally bounced awake - springs totally gone. Tiles loose in bathroom floor/missing grout. Had to clean out hairdryer as was full of fluff. Pub food menu choices did not match what was advertised on their own website. A LOT was removed. Very limited. Was offered yoghurt for Breakfast that was nearly 3 weeks out of date. Cooked Breakfast temperatures uneven - some bits hot, others cold when all should've been hot.

The location was great. The staff were pleasant. Good sized rooms.

Stayed in The Sun room and the bed was awful. One side was just ok, but the other side was sloping and you could feel all of the springs. The pillows were flimsy and lumpy. I don't understand why these aren't invested in!!

"Beautiful old pub with history."

8.0

Lovely breakfast and location and very scenic view from the pub. Little fridge in the room was helpful.

Just to be aware that it can be noisy in the bedroom until the pub closes but that is to be expected in a pub stay.

Garway Moon Inn was great, very clean, comfortable, and cozy rooms. Delicious meals both dinner and breakfast. I have stayed here a few times, great experience everytime.

Rooms are located over the bar which can be loud at times.

Fantastic place to stay. The location was beautiful, staff were so helpful and great fun, our room (double deluxe) was spacious and the food was amazing! Loved our stay here and would definitely recommend to others

The only thing was that the mattress was quite uncomfortable 😬 😕

We stayed here for one night while doing a 2-day course at Oldfield Forge. It's a short 5 minute drive from the forge. Value for money was excellent, breakfast included. Only 3 rooms on site but they were SO comfortable. A traditional type of Inn with beams and cosy cottage vibes, yet modernised enough to be clean, warm, and comfortable. Staff were super lovely and accommodating. Its also got a good amount to do within short driving distances. We were pretty busy on the course so didnt get to much, but we did visit Skenfrith castle which was just a 6 minute drive away.

"Overall - pleasant stay - a few improvements and worth warning guests about lack of daytime opening"

8.0

Lovely rural location. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Excellent Food - Best fish and chips I've had in a while.

The two rooms were extremely cold on the first night and second day as radiators did not come on, despite turning up radiator valves, and the weather turned extremely cold. Though plenty of hot water so perhaps the heating had been turned off. Resolved by the evening of the second day. The showers could do with thermostatic valves and some warnings as the water was scalding and showers difficult to regulate initially. The pub was not open until 5pm during the day midweek so less convenient for our group to sit and have a drink together during the day or to get a snack, drink or lunch during the day. Our mattress in the sun room was lumpy, however the stars room were impressed with the comfort of theirs..
