La Maison Demers

This place is excellent for the traveler who wants an authentic Old Quebec experience. We visited for a few days before departing on a cruise. The location is perfect. We stayed in a top floor room with a shared bath (down the hall.) Our room fronted the street with a small balcony. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings on this balcony. The gentleman who runs the place is a man of few words, but he takes great care of the place and was very helpful to us. Be prepared for stairs instead of a lift. We were not able to access the internet from our room, but this was not a problem, as there were many excellent cafes and restaurants nearby with strong internet. As with any old city, be prepared for parking challenges if you have a vehicle. We will definitely stray here again. When we told the proprietor how much we enjoyed our stay, he proudly showed us the large second-floor suite, with ensuite and a large balcony. Very nice!

We found no complaints. If you want ultra-modern instead of old-world charm, this might not be the right place for you, but why visit an old town if you don't appreciate history and culture?

La wifi était inexistante et aucune excuse du propriétaire !! Quand on fait un voyage sur 15 jours c'est problématique

La ubicación es perfecta, en el casco antiguo. La habitación es cómoda y limpia. Tiene el encanto de una casa antigua. El baño compartido pero de uso individual y no tuvimos que esperar para usarlo.

Que no nos pudieramos duchar después de las 22:00h Que al entrar a hacer la habitación puso la maleta encima de un mueble sobre otras pertenencias que tenía en dicha mesa.

The location was perfect for our needs. 5 mins walk to The Citadel; less than 10 mins walk to the Chateau Frontenac; less than 10 mins walk to the meeting place for bus tours, walking tours, and tourist info. Coffee shop across the road; many restaurants within 5- 10 mins walk. Our room had a balcony with double doors (stained glass), our own little balcony where we could watch the daily life on Rue St. Ursule; and old wooden shutters on the windows which helped to darken the room and block sound.

The furnishings/decor are old and rather 'tired' but in many ways could be argued that they add to the charm. (No elevator, so customers must be physically able)

Full.of charm and character for Old Quarter. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Central to everything in Old Quarter of Quebec. Short walk to train station but uphill for the arrival to the hotel.

위치가 너무 좋아서 올드 퀘벡 관광 도중 피곤하면 숙소에서 잠깐씩 쉬었다 다시 나가기도 했습니다. 저는 private bathroom이 포함된 방이었는데, 욕조를 새로 설치했는지 깨끗했어요~

건물 자체가 오래되고 낡아서 계단을 오르내리는 불편감 은 어쩔 수 없었지만, 미리 알고 있던 상태라 크게 문제될 것은 없었습니다.
