Great location, very easy to get into the city as well as East Lothian. Comfortable and nice touches.

Spotless, beautiful rooms and lovely breakfast facilities.

It was a bit confusing checking in, we went into the bar which was packed. Felt a bit awkward but go sorted within a few mins. Maybe some signage or directions for checking in.

The rooms were lovely and the ensuite was great. We ate in the pub and the steak pie dinner was fantastic. The communal area was lovely and the cold breakfast items were ideal. There was even an alternative milk for me to use.

The staff were extremely helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The bistro delivered good food, well presented with attentive service. And the towels in the ensuite shower room were folded into the a ship (appropriate for the Ship Inn ) and a SWAN.!!! The room was in an annex accessed by a separate door from the street. There was a communal kitchen /dining area shared by the four rooms where breakfast food, drinks, preparation facilities and comfy chairs etc were available. It was fairly easy to park in the street beside the Inn The delightful harbour is a tiny walk away and worth a stroll. . The train station, which has ample free parking, is minutes away and gives rapid access to Edinburgh Waverly station in the centre of the city.
