A gem.... A fabulous grade 2 listed inn. The twin room booked was delightful. Comfortable beds and pillows. Other soft furnishings excellent. Nespresso machine Homemade biscuits Bottled water. Though I didnt use as have my own travel wash., Great range of Molten Brown.. Spotlessly clean. A comfortable nights stay and a fab sleep. Staff provided fresh milk or steamed milk for rooms on request... Breakfast was delicious, menu options excellent. A thoroughly wonderful stay, sadly for sad reasons. Eaten here many times but first stay. .

"Just lovely."

What a wonderful place! Fantastic pub and so friendly. We were en route home to Lancashire from Gatwick and this was a superb location for a very relaxing stay.

Great room, great pub, great staff. There were many wonderful things to say about this place. Roaring fires, wonderful food, excellent beer and wine, friendly dogs and more. But I particularly enjoyed the note in the room that said to ask for fresh milk. I have a huge dislike of uht milk so was very happy to be offered fresh milk for my late night cuppa. Breakfast was also wonderful. Staff and owners managed that fabulous balance of friendly but not overly so. We would definitely stay again.
