"Last minute stay in Heptonstall."

6.0

Location is perfect, Heptonstall is an absolute must to visit, beer selection was good, Linzi the host was absolutely brilliant and seemed to be running the bar almost single-handedly. The Thai food was mostly excellent, just my wife’s main that was sort of average. Our room was at the front of the property the seats in the large bay window made for a very pleasant view. We enjoyed our stay.

Too pricey at £120 B&B for the night especially considering the breakfast was continental only. The loo had a bit of a drain smell and the mattress was a bit hard. The place needs a spruce up here and there but it’s charmingly quirky so didn’t bother us. No need to pack your finery.

"Great stay in a lovely historic location."

10.0

The staff were excellent. A friendly welcome from Lynsey, who booked us in. She gave us all of the information we needed on booking a table to eat, and ordering breakfast the next day etc. The room was lovely. Well equipped. A great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Plenty of milk, sugar and biscuits. TV, books and a hairdryer. There was hanging space and extra bedding. The bed was excellent. Very comfortable. We had the best sleep. We ate in the dining room from the wonderful Thai menu. We had starters and main meal, which were beautifully cooked. Charlie, who waited on our table was a delight. Very helpful. Linda, who does all of the wonderful cooking did breakfast, one continental and one cooked. Bacon was local and delicious. Bacon and egg with plenty of good bread and a side salad, a lovely touch. There was plenty to choose from for the continental. Great coffee too. A good, filling breakfast. Linda checked on our night's stay, that we'd had everything we needed. We couldn't fault anything. A lovely stay and great food. Would definitely recommend this 5 star inn, which also has a good selection of local beer.

Absolutely nothing!

"Cross Inn ideal for short stays"

8.0

Loved the location just outside Hebden Bridge in the beautiful village of Heptonstall. Staff all very friendly and relaxed. Quaint old property with oodles of history.

All individuals taste but the mattress was too soft and in need of a foam topper.
