Traditional pub in the heart of Heptonstall - our room looking out onto the high street had big windows, a nice view down the street & character. The bar and dining area were relaxed and the atmosphere easy going. Was a nice surprise to find they offered six guest beers that regularly change.

The rooms are above a pub so you can’t expect total peace & quiet, in some rooms at least , but I think most people would figure that out before booking :-)

Good location, nice views and regular buses to Hebden Bridge

We were located in a room next to the kitchen, very smelly and staff shouting and making noise until at least 1am. Bed was uncomfortable and we both barely slept. Breakfast poor not worth it. No staff around in the morning for us to pass this information onto either. Wouldn’t stay here again, would rather spend a bit more and stay in Hebden.

Everything was amazing staff friendly and great environment

Wish there was a opinion for if we were not arriving till late as I had sent the request that we weren't arriving till later to sort breakfast out as that had to be in for 9 so if they had emailed to let us know that we could have sorted that out but was grateful that the chef gave us egg and bacon she had left over xx

"Great location and really comfortable with staff where nothing was a problem."

9.0

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were incredible, nothing was a problem. It is set in the centre of a beautiful, historic village with easy access to Hebden Bridge and surrounding areas. Although there is no onsite parking there is a nearby public car park. Access available at all times.

Not really suitable for disabled people.

A lovely old pub in a beautiful village. The staff are so helpful and friendly. It is scrupulously clean and the continental breakfast is really good. My single room was comfy and bright.

The climb to it is really steep and, without a car park, if you can't park outside, the nearest car park is a stressful walk away.
