Nasan and Mustapha were very welcoming and made our stay a good experience. Nasan took us for a hike to the Ziz source and we crawled into a cave that ended in a lake and a river. Mustapha makes great tajines.

There was no hot water in the bathroom sink.

"Fabulous, authentic Amazigh experience in the Moroccan mountains."

9.0

Very special location, situated in a valley far from major towns and roads. You are in a small town with friendly people, eager to share their culture. We made new friends along the way during our hiking trip to a cave. Host speaks about 5 languages and is very kind.

The main restaurant/dining area is quite cold in the winter

"Hidden gem in Atlas mountains"

10.0

This place is a little gem hidden in the Atlas mountains. The village is the ideal place for relaxing, far from the chaos of cars and cities. We suggest travelers to spend here at least two nights, and take advantage of excursions and trekkings that can be arranged by the hotel (special thanks to Hassan who guided us through the mountains, inside a cave and cooked us a delicious barbeque in the wilds). The host Laarbi was very nice and welcoming, and he also helped us in organising the rest of our Moroccan trip.

"Simple and authentic"

9.0

It was an authentic experience of the life in the mountains in Morocco, still outside of the main touristic paths. This was very memorable for us. It was possible to arrange tours in the village and around with the owner. The host was very friendly and gave us several good recommendations also for the rest of our trip. Even if it may get cold at night, there are ovens in each room.

If you make the tour make sure to not be afraid of heights. In the dining room it got very cold (January)

"Felt like a dream world."

10.0

The village is extraordinary, I came in autumn and the colours were amazing. The scenery and landscape is breathtaking and dream-like. The host is exceptionally kind and welcoming. I planned to stay 1 night and ended up spending two so that I could explore the local area and caves. The rooms are comfy and have plenty of warm layers in case it gets cold (1700m up after all).

Nothing.

"An absolute gem"

10.0

The location was extraordinary, nestled on a hill amidst the authentic Zaouia of Sidi Hamza. The place was true to Amazigh architecture, decoration, cuisine, and hospitality. It was like traveling back in time: the peace, the quiet, the wild beauty of the mountains, and the warmth of the people. Laarbi was a fantastic host who readily shared stories about his culture, his travels, and his projects for the village with a delightful humorous twist. Our promenade within the zaouia with him is a treasured memory. We will definitely come back again for a longer stay this time.

If you want a luxurious experience, that is not it. There is no TV or AC and the commodities they do have might not be the height of modernity but they function. The Zaouia is pretty far off the main road from Midelt and it is not the smoothest ride to get there but it is worth it if what you seek is one of the most authentic and human experiences you can find in Morocco today.

"Memorable stay!"

10.0

Larbi is such a kind host and the landscape is stunning. We loved the guided walk through the village and chatting with other travellers over tea in the cozy lounge area. One of our favorite experiences in our 2 week trip. We stopped one night from Merzouga to Fez but would have liked to stay another night.

"Authentic Berber Morocco with good value of money"

10.0

Authentic, it was at a beautiful place in de middle of Morocco. Great host and including a tour to a waterfall, a village and a picnic. It felt very real and good value for money. Highly recommended when in Morocco.
