West Brae Inn

It was perfect for my dad he stayed for 3 nights and was happy with the stay! Comfortable bed, clean and nice room with a kitchen and bathroom. The only thing that I had trouble with was parking. I didn't find it right away but the communication was excellent and guided me to where it was.

I was not informed how to check in (I was lucky that the front door was being replaced at the time), and once I was in, I noticed that it was not the room photographed. Despite being advertised as a private bathroom, it was shared with the other room; it was also filthy and smelled of vomit. The windows were obviously single pane glazing as I could hear every argument, conversation, and joke as it passed by the closed windows; I could also see the shadows of the locals as they walked by since the windows had no curtains to block out the street lights right outside the window. Finally, there was a knitted hat covering the fire alarm over the door.

Really easy to find and lovely little family run business had a great weekend perfect for commute to Glasgow for shows and shops.

TV didn't work well. Checking in was strange with no obvious sign for the building just a random person on the street to meet us. Room tiny.

I liked the way the staff handled us, they were very warm and friendly. The rooms are clean, the wifi okay and the beds comfortable.

The fact that the online booking did not get through the first day which made us panic.
