West Brae Inn

The room had a double bed which was comfortable enough

No check-in policy, had to call the owner 4 times, confirmed a check-in time, but still had to wait over 30 mins for him to turn up to let me in. The 'inn' is just a two room ground floor flat in poor condition, not very tidy with a shared bathroom with a very low ceiling. Did not bother using the kitchen facilities.

They really helped me out with a late last minute booking and were very friendly and made the last part of my trip a lot more comfortable.

A few upgrades here and then could probably add to the properties value a little.

Location - close to airport. Tea and coffee facilities available. Warm shower available even at unsociable hours. Comfortable, large bed.

Check in was someone waiting outside to give me the key which is fine. but no contact given for any issues that may arise overnight. Stained towel. Limited kitchen supplies. Unclean bathroom sink area. No wi-fi.

Absolutely nothing. We booked to use as a night stop over before flying in the morning from Glasgow airport. This is not a hotel it is like a room from a horror movie. There are only 2 rooms available with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Very creepy atmosphere within building.

The location is very shady and run down. The parking is extremely poor. The room itself was small,dirty and had other people’s belongings in a cupboard. The toilet facility was shared but did not have a proper lock on the door. When we turned up there was no one to greet us we had to call. We were then met by a man who could barely speak English. My partner was frightened and felt unsafe within the location. The experience was so poor we left within the hour and booked a hotel further away in Glasgow itself. Lesson learned always pay the extra money for comfort and reassurance.
