This was such a brilliant, unexpected little gem of a find. We arrived in Chania from the UK too late to get to the South coast, so I'd rather randomly found Dimitri & his beautiful hotel online as it was a 6 min taxi ride from the airport. Turns out it has the best bed and the most amazing host. We arrived at 10pm and he was as calm and welcoming as his gorgeous ancient building, laughed at my stress and poured us a couple beers and Cretan water (raki). Gave us spanakopita & Greek salad, told us to be up at 7.30 for a taxi he'd booked us, gave us toasted cheese sandwiches for breakfast, laughed gently at my stress again (in the most relaxing way) and set us up for the most incredible holiday in Loutro. He's an absolute diamond and his hotel is the best. Thanks Dimitri.

Warm atmosphere, outstanding hosting. One of the best stays in Greece!

Comfortable bed, large room

Washroom looks like left over construction not completed, tiny shower, fridge did not working. Our host was friendly and wanted to share about area though we selected this hotel due to proximity of airport. It's a bit of a maze too getting to hotel so add a bit of time in case you get lost.

We were greeted by Dimitris who is very welcoming, very friendly, has a good sense of humour and was more than pleased to sit down with us for a nice chat. The village studios built in the 1600's also have a museum where you can see mannequins robed in traditional clothing from times gone by, also artefacts, memorabilia and handicrafts. It was very interesting. It is a short distance to the airport and Dimitris phoned the taxi for us. The room was fully equipped, clean and comfortable.

We had to make sure to regulate the tap water which came out very hot indeed.

Very convenient location for overnite stay coming from or going to airport; just a short taxi ride away. Not the usual sterile airport hotel—In a little village; Very charming w outdoor patio/breakfast spot. Host very friendly & accommodating; insisted I sit down & have a drink of my choice upon arrival. Room nicely decorated w very comfortable bed, fridge w bottled water & fruit & little pitcher of Raki! Exceptionally clean & quiet. AND served a delicious big Greek breakfast. Host even offered to drive me back to airport to meet my tour grp. An added bonus: 3 room Folklore museum on lower floor — well worth visit even if not staying here.

I liked everything about it— provided an unexpected 1st glimpse of authentic Crete life while only 5-10 min from Chania airport

My second stay at this wonderful traditional place. If you are looking for a taste of the Greek way of life look no further. Dimitri the owner is kind and helpful and treats all his guests as if they are life long friends. He cooks the perfect breakfast!! The rooms are comfortable, very Greek and well equipped. The property is very close to Chania airport. For anyone looking to experience a little bit of true Greece then I highly recommend this rustic property.
