Hotel Colonial Victonella

The grounds were very nice. The pool was questionable, ok when we arrived, then became cloudy with white bubbles floating in it. The staff tried hard but seemed to lack direction.

The shower was a dribble of water & totally unacceptable. Over 4 days, the room wasn't serviced, rubbish bins not emptied & we had wet towels unless we hung them out to dry in the pool area. The eftpos machine was inoperable, so we were forced to get large bundles of cash to pay the bill. I would not recommend this accommodation.

Pool cue’s are really bad, need replacing!

Realy nice staff, we could do the check in even earlier than said, staff helped with laundry for very cheap price, clean water in the pool, good breakfast!

This place was one of the best I stayed in my last two months journey. It easily could be a five star level, but there need to be some smart touch and refreshments It is really a culture heritage boarding high ceilings, big rooms, green gardens, beautiful, and comfortable armchairs

The pool was little bit small, normally it isnot the topic of violation but in the advertisement they use it so I feel hard to mention it! It wasn’t clear as well! Breakfast was poor!

Location, A/C was very cold, breakfast was lovely. Was quite if that’s what your looking for. Pool was nice but dirty.

Place was a bit dirty could do with a deep clean. Getting in and out of the property was a bit of an ordeal at times. They would lock the front door and often it was difficult to find staff to open it.

The lounging spaces was very nicely decorated - the place has so much potential which is sad to see it wasted the way it is.

- cannot leave or enter when you please - room way too dark - kitchen filthy and unusable - no water for guests - bathroom could be cleaner

I had a good second visit. I was only male guest and there was only one other female guest in the other dorm. It was a bit hot...with fans and doors open it was ok.

Town is pretty dull.

The staff was nice and the breakfast was good. Pool looked clean and the location is really good.

There were no lockers available in the dorms. WiFi did not work and there was only one working toilet for 10+ people and 2 showers. Breakfast was served starting from 8 o’clock onwards and paying was a bit difficult as they had trouble giving the change for a 20 Dollar note. Whenever you want to enter or leave the facility someone had to unlock the door for you. I was staying in a big dorm as a backpacker with a big Nicaraguan family (around 10 people) plus their (baby) children. They were very loud at night and in the morning.There were no other backpackers. Hence, I felt uncomfortable. Maybe it’s better for couples or families in private rooms.
