Lovely quirky property, in the lovely place of Sawley. The room was lovely, set out beautifully.

Staff a little slow on the evening service but very lovely food.

A lovely traditional inn, beautifully decorated throughout. Our bedroom was fabulous, with gorgeous decor & furnishings & spectacular views. The evening meal was absolutely delicious & the staff (Nigel & Harry) were friendly, helpful & very personable. Breakfast was lovely too & Emily was really friendly & helpful. It was a great place to stay in a beautiful village setting. We were sad only to be staying one night, but will definitely return! Thank you everyone.

Nothing at all, it was everything we could have wished for.

The room was very comfortable and had two armchairs. It was very quiet at night. There was a good selection of refreshments in the room. We especially enjoyed the mini eccles cakes! Our room was made up every day. Breakfast was excellent. We also ate in the restaurant: the service was good and the food very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend the Spread Eagle.

Everything you'd expect of a 5 star hotel in a cosy rural location, and at a really economical price.

Excellent venue, comfortable, the accommodation was extremely comfortable and the room was equipped with everything we needed.

There was nothing we did not like about the property staff or food.
