Atmosphere

It was great having the bar/grill downstairs for evening snack/nightcap. Staff there was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of interesting fire antiques and pictures.

Be aware there is no elevator so you have to carry luggage up 1 1/2 flights of stairs.

I am a history lover with a father-in-law that is retired firefighter so to stay in a 100+ year old fire department was great. Also the food in the restaurant was the best on our trip by far! The staff was also so friendly and helpful.

The hot water took awhile to get hot but the owner is working on that, and once it got hot the shower was great. Not a big deal

Sper of the moment trip to Vermont and I found a hotel that was absolutely disgusting, both my parents and husband told me to get out and go somewhere else and I found the Firehouse Inn. As soon as I pulled in I knew I made the right choice. The inn was beautiful! All the old firehouse decorations and pictures from years past was so cool to look at. It was very clean and quiet. The restaurant/bar below was delicious! The garlic nots and amazing and the french fries were perfect. I felt so safe the whole time and everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. The next time I come to Vermont I will definitely be staying here again. 10/10!

This accommodation is in a beautiful old Firehouse.Centrally located in the center of Barre. We had a suite which was very large, and beautifully maintained. It was really the size of an apartment and would make a great place to stay for a longer period of time.

We couldn't stay for more than one night.

Great restaurant downstairs. Lots of space to relax and also to get ready. Convenient location.

A tiny bit brighter light in the bathroom for makeup purposes.

The location was good for our trip.

It was weird checking in. No real signs for the hotel, just the restaurant. We had to wait to check in because the restaurant was busy.
